WHAT WE DO
The Chicago Arts and Cultural Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting cultural exchange between Asian countries and the United States. We work closely with higher education institutions to design customized short-term programs for international participants.

Our organization facilitates professional and educational opportunities for visiting artists, designers, architects, performers, and international students in the visual and performing arts. We have also built a vibrant community of art lovers in the greater Chicago area and host special events quarterly.
PROJECTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
June 2018 - Interior Design Elite Program
Co-programmed with Pratt Institute, CACA invited 11 interior designers from China to participate in a five-day intensive specialized studies program in New York. Through hands-on activities, visual merchandising display workshops, and curated boutique hotel tours, participants gained in-depth insights into contemporary American design practices, emerging trends, and real-world applications. Together with Pratt Institute, CACA helped foster professional exchange and cross-cultural dialogue.

November 2017 – “Sweet Songs, Romantic Ballads” ConcertElaine Wang, a renowned Chinese singer in the greater Chicago area, presented a special concert honoring the legendary Teresa Teng. Teresa Teng, a superstar of the 1980s and a beloved icon of Chinese popular music, greatly influenced Elaine’s musical journey. The concert featured Teresa Teng’s greatest hits alongside classic Chinese folk songs. Please visit our blog for more information.

October 2017 – Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Program
Co-programmed with International Women Associates (IWA), the workshop Ceramics and the Silk Road was held at the IWA Chicago Office. CACA invited Mr. Wei Wang, Chair of the Silk Road Revitalization Alliance, to present on Chinese ceramic art and the cultural heritage of the Silk Road. He also gifted a beautifully crafted “Hulu” vase from China to IWA in celebration of the 2018 IWA China Gala.

July 2017 – Interior Design Elite Program
Co-programmed with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), CACA invited 15 experienced interior designers from China to participate in a professional exchange program in the United States. CACA organized tours and workshops introducing American modern art and culture. SAIC also delivered a five-day intensive course focused on sustainable design.​
