WHAT WE DO
Chicago Arts and Cultural Association, which is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization that promotes cultural exchange between Asian countries and the United States. We have been helping higher education institutes in customizing short-term programs for international participants. We facilitate professional and educational opportunities for visiting artists, designers, architects, performers, and international students in visual and performing arts. We have built a community for art lovers in greater Chicago area and host special events on a quarterly basis.
PROJECTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
February 2017 - Spring Festival Chicago Art Salon Luncheon
CACA invited performing artists from Chicago Chinese Performing Arts (CCPA) and arranged a 30-minutes shows for the luncheon. Attendants were welcomed to network and exchange new-year gift/DIY art piece with each other. More than 40 artists and art lovers attended.

March 2017 - Gallery Visiting: The Landscapes of Harold Gregor
The exhibition of Changing Perspectives: The Landscapes of Harold Gregor was held at State Street Gallery.The board members of CACA web-casted the event through WeChat and walked other art lovers through all the paintings at the exhibition.

July 2017 - Interior Design Elite Program
Co-programed with the School of Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), CACA invited 15 experienced Chinese interior designers to the United States. CACA arranged tours and workshops that introduced American modern arts and American culture to all the participants. A 5-days intensive courses that concentrated on sustainable design were provided by SAIC.

October 2017 - Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Program
Co-programed with International Women Associates (IWA), a workshop named 'Ceramic and the Silk Road' was held at IWA Chicago Office. Mr.Wei Wang, the chair of the 'The Silk Road Revitalization Alliance', was invited by CACA. Wei talked about Chinese ceramic art and culture heritage of Silk Road. He also brought a gorgeous "Hulu" vase from China as a gift to IWA for 2018 IWA China Gala.

November 2017 - "Sweet Songs, Romantic Ballads" Concert
Elaine Wang is a famous Chinese singer who has gained great reputation in the greater Chicago area. Teresa Teng, who was a superstar in 1980s, is not only Elaine’s favorite singer, but also the first pop idol of millions of Chinese people. In this concert, Elaine will bring Teng’s greatest hits as well as classic folk songs to all her audience. Please check our BLOG for more information.

February 2018 - ICAA Florida Winter Camp
A group of 30 children, together with their favorite teachers, will be invited by CACA and have a different cultural experience in Florida. This program will be part of the annual Children's Fine Arts Contests held by International Children's Art Association (ICAA). Various opportunities will be provided by CACA through activities such as "Draw my day", gallery visiting, as well as theme park rides and fun projects.
